Black Money: Govt Prepares To Reveal Names, We Give You Some Hints

The Centre is likely to reveal names of people involved in the black money case. Earlier this morning, the Centre has named three individuals in a fresh affidavit which was submitted to the Supreme Court for prosecution. But the list of the people involved goes beyond hundreds. Now, like every other Indian, we were also interested in knowing who other than the mentioned three have Swiss money in their account, and voila, we got access to an interesting list doing rounds on the social media platforms.

The list discloses names of around 30 people, of which 13 are mainstream politicians and well-known figures in India, who have stashed approximately Rs 2,00,000 crore in the Swiss banks. Amazed? So were we, and honestly speaking, more than that we were sad to know that the hard-earned money of the common Indian people lies only with the selected few—the elite ones.

Here goes the list, where we have masked real names as we are ourselves not sure how authentic this report is, but the list reads more than true to our brains as well as heart. You have a former telecom minister (no prizes for guessing the name!), a former chief minister of Bihar (who is also the president of his party), a senior leader of Maharashtra’s Nationalist Congress Party and Tamil Nadu’s DMK on the list. The most surprising and shocking name is that of a late prime minister who still has corruption allegations against his name.

These names may be true or false, but thousands of crore (black money) lying in the Swiss banks is absolutely true. This gives rise to two big questions:
1. Will Modi government reveal all the names knowing that his own people’s name will be there in the list too?
2. Will this black money come back to India ever and reach the common man who struggles every day to collect alms for his sustenance?

Only time will tell. As of now, all this looks like a far-fetched dream that surely ignites hopes in the common man’s heart, but at the same time increases the fear of this dream getting shattered. The possibility of the latter is higher.
