U.S. stock indices are trading higher in the final session of the week - except for the Nasdaq, which is in the red.
Notably, hot biotech stocks are selling off - the IBB, the iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology ETF, is down 3.7%. Other recent high-flyers in the alternative energy space, like Plug Power and FuelCell Energy, are sharply lower as well.
The Nasdaq itself is trading almost 0.5% above Thursday's closing levels, while the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average are both up 0.3%.
U.S. Treasuries are trading little changed from Thursday, with the yield on the 10-year note at 2.76%, down one basis point. The U.S. dollar is down about 0.2% against both the euro and the Japanese yen.
