Bollywood, the staple entertainment diet of thousand of Indians has often been criticized for churning out mindless movies wrapped in item songs placing little or no importance on sensitivity or storytelling; however 2015 has been a year of change for the Hindi film industry.

This year, Bollywood showed us its true potential and demonstrated that it could grow up too by producing movies which ditched the age-old formula of item songs, revealing outfits and over-the-top acting and instead delved into territories unknown.
