BI Year-Ender: Five emerging start-ups that got $100 million funding in 2016

2016 has been a year of funding slowdowns with overall funding in the startup ecosystem being less than 2015. Total of 924 Indian start-ups were funded in 2016, raising $3.89 billion, according to reports. Unlike in 2015, when Flipkart topped funding with US$700 million, this year the highest check was for US$250 million. 2015 saw a total of 904 companies raising US$7.54 billion.
