Best Buy Worker Shares Mistakes Customers Make When Buying Televisions
Spencer Platt/Getty ImagesA Best Buy employee recently shared with Consumerist the biggest mistakes television buyers make and his frustrations with them.
The employee, who used the pseudonym "A," offered this advice:
1. Bring the right vehicle for transporting the television. Care for traveling televisions in important, especially plasma TVs that must remain upright.
2. Leave the kids at home. The excitement around a new screen that everyone will spend dozens of hours per week in front of will be high, but they can enjoy it when it gets to the house.
3. Tips are not expected, but much appreciated. According to the employee, those helping customers are only permitted to accept a tip if a customer insists multiple times.
