BEAT: INITIAL JOBLESS CLAIMS RISE TO 336K

The latest weekly jobless claims report is out.

Initial claims rose slightly to 336,000 from an upwardly-revised 334,000 the week before.

However, economists expected a slightly larger rise to 340,000.

Continuing claims rose to 3.053 million from an upwardly-revised 3.048 million the week before.

Economists had expected continuing claims to rise to 3.050 million.
