In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Ansari explained how the Kahn family's various criticisms of Trump over the last few weeks have damaged Trump in a fashion similar to the way Drake took down rapper Meek Mill in a one-sided rap feud earlier this year.
"I mean, it's crazy. The guy makes a speech like, 'Have you read the U.S. Constitution? Let me give you a copy!'" Ansari said, recounting Khazir Kahn's DNC speech.
"And then Trump's like, 'Why doesn't your wife say anything?' And then the guy goes, 'You have a black soul,'" Ansari continued. "Which is the coldest sh-t I've ever heard. I've never heard anyone say that. I heard that was gonna be a line in Tupac's 'Hit 'Em Up,' but he was like 'Nah, that's too mean, we can't go there.'"
This is not the first time Ansari has spoken out against Trump's campaign.
In June, the comedian wrote an op-ed for The New York Times titled, "Aziz Ansari: Why Trump Makes Me Scared for My Family," wherein he described how "with the presidential candidate Donald J. Trump and others like him spewing hate speech, prejudice is reaching new levels. It's visceral, and scary, and it affects how people live, work, and pray."
