Awesome Train-Inspired Marching Band Routine Won The National High School Championship
The overall winner was The Woodlands High School from Texas, who won its first national championship as well as awards for Outstanding Music Performance and Outstanding General Effect.
The winning routine - titled "Crossing Boundaries" - is an incredibly impressive feat involving music, marching, and serious choreography. Marching band experts praised the students in a liveblog on musicforall.org during the performance. One wrote, "Lots of movement coming from the field with the flags and the 'trains' on the crossing gates... Lots of fluttering no matter where you look!"
