Up to 15 Australian gold miners were fired after performing a rendition of the "Harlem Shake" deep beneath the earth's surface, according to The West Australian (via The Daily News).

The miners boasted six-figure salaries, which undoubtedly makes this the costliest "Harlem Shake" video to date.

According to the dismissal letter obtained by The WA, employer Barminco said the production violated "core values of safety, integrity and excellence".

The letter noted that Barminco would not allow the dancing workers "to be subcontracted by Barminco at any site domestically and globally" and said the electrical contractor did not have any other vacancies.
