Campus media relations officer Rebecca Kendall says police are on scene Wednesday morning at Boelter Hall, a science building. Kendall says the report came in about 9:55 a.m.

The campus is on lockdown.

News footage from local station KTLA showed police, fire personnel, and ambulances on the scene.

Early reports had little concrete information on the potential shooting, but KTLA anchors reported that the situation was being treated by police as having two confirmed shooting victims and one shooter who was not in police custody.
