At nearly 4,500 lbs, (or two Fiat 500s) its approach to setting a new production car speed record is all about doing more by adding more - which is how it ended up with its ludicrous quad-turbo W16.
But engineers from the land of fish and chips have decided that there must be a better way.
On Tuesday, Aston Martin revealed the concept for an upcoming hypercar to rival the best in the world: the AM RB 001.
Designed by Red Bull's aerodynamics genius Adrian Newey, the machine is basically a road-legal Formula 1 car, but instead of using the hybrid V6 powertrain used in today's F1 cars, Aston Martin will instead supply a 1,000 horsepower V12.
Aston Martin also suggested the final car could weigh as little as 1,000 kg (2205 lbs.), or one half of the weight of the Bugatti Chiron.
