President Donald Trump arrives to speaks at a campaign-style rally at Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington, W.Va., Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017.

President Donald Trump trolled investigators charged with probing Russia's interference in the 2016 election at a rally in Huntington, West Virginia, on Thursday night.

"Have you seen any Russians in West Virginia or Ohio or Pennsylvania," Trump asked rhetorically as the crowd at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena cheered.

"Are there any Russians here tonight, any Russians?"

Trump revived an old attack on Democrats, saying the Russia investigation was motivated by Democrats who remain bitter over his November election victory. "We didn't win because of Russia," Trump said at the rally. "We won because of you."

The FBI's investigation, led by special counsel Robert Mueller is expanding. The career prosecutor has selected a grand jury, which has already been at work for several weeks, and has already issued subpoenas seeking documents and testimony in the case, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

Trump has frequently bristled over Mueller and his investigators, and has, at points, floated the possibility of seeking Mueller's dismissal.
