Apple’s latest iPhones are now available in India

Customers queued up outside various Apple stores to buy latest iPhone 6s and iPhone 6Plus devices, which started selling on October 16 midnight.
The iPhone 6S and iPhone6S Plus are now available in India, starting at Rs 62,000 and Rs 72,000 for 16GB models respectively.
The Indian prices are way higher than the US but still Apple loyalists were keen on getting their hands on the latest models.
Apple CEO Tim Cook acknowledged Indian buyers and took to Twitter to express gratitude.
Thanks to all our customers in India who queued at midnight for the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus at midnight," Cook said in a Twitter post.
Sales kicked off in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, etc.
Reportedly, India is amongst the fastest growing smartphone markets worldwide and the country is expected to overtake the US to become No 2 after China by 2017.
Apple will be selling its devices through Croma outlets also.
