Apple's App Stores for its iOS and Mac operating systems as well as its iTunes store are experiencing an outage, according to the company's System Status website.
The outages appear to have started at 4:40 a.m. and are currently ongoing. Customers may be unable to make purchases from Apple's App Store, iTunes Store, Apple Books, or the Mac App Store until the problem is resolved.
Apple did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment on the outage.
It's not the first time Apple products have suffered from technical issues this year. In March, Apple's iCloud service was down for several hours. Before that, iCloud was affected by technical issues in January and last October.
Apple isn't the only tech firm to have experienced issues with its services in recent months. Facebook suffered one of the worst outages in the social giant's history in March that put both Facebook and Instagram out of commission for hours. Google's Gmail service also experienced issues as recently as this month.
