Apple is reportedly planning to drop the price of its new MacBook Pro next year and the company may also expand the line-up to support 32GB of RAM, according to 9to5Mac.

The publication is reporting on a note published by reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. He says that Apple will reduce the price of the new devices next year.

The timescale for the price drop isn't yet confirmed, but Kuo is predicting that a refreshed lineup of new MacBook Pros will come in the second half of 2017.

There's a chance that the upgraded MacBook Pros would ship with support for 32GB of RAM.

Right now the devices only have a maximum of 16GB of RAM, which Apple says is due to battery life concerns. But Kuo says that future models could support 32GB of RAM if Intel ships its new Canonlake processors in time. Their power consumption is more efficient, which should allow Apple to bump up the maximum amount of RAM that its new MacBook Pros can support.
