Steve knew that apps were the future and he believed in his devices. Apple yesterday posted sales of over 10 Billion USD, which were earned by selling applications through the iStore in 2013. 10 percent of the sales came from the month of December alone. People flocked to the iStore on a regular basis to buy games and apps this festive season.

Apple users downloaded almost 3 Billion apps in December, 2013, making it the most successful in Apple’s app store history. The company has thanked its customers and the app developers for developing some over the top software, which enticed people to buy. Users in more than 155 countries contributed to the large figures and applications were bought across devices such as iPhone and iPad.

Apple is looking forward to 2014 to be an even bigger year for apps and sales. They are particularly looking forward the holiday months to see what the app developers will bring next. Will they hit the magical figure again and surpass it in 2014? We will know in January next year.
