The drama surrounding Antonio Brown's start with the Oakland Raiders took another bizarre turn on Friday night after the star wide receiver posted a video that included a call with head coach Jon Gruden to YouTube.

After exchanging greetings, Gruden can be heard first empathizing with Brown's situation and then asking him what exactly is going on.

"What the hell is going on man?" Gruden asks Brown.

"Just a villain all over the news, man," Brown replies.

With orchestral music playing in the background, news clips of reporters asking about Brown's tenuous start with the Raiders begins to play.

"You're not a villain," Gruden says. "You're just ... You're the most misunderstood f---ing human being in my entire life that I've ever met,"

Gruden goes on to express understanding of Brown's difficult time in the spotlight, before asking "Do you want to be a Raider or not?"

"Man, I've been trying to be a Raider since day one," Brown says. "I've been f---ing working my ass off harder than anyone. I don't know why it's a question of me being a Raider. It's like, do you guys want me to be a Raider."

After Gruden asks that Brown "just play football," Brown says he's "more than a football player, I'm a real person."

"This my life," Brown concludes. "Ain't no more games."

The video comes after an already bizarre start to Brown's time in Oakland. After being brought in during the offseason to much fanfare, Brown has missed the majority of training camp with the Raiders after issues stemming from a foot injury and a dispute with the league over wearing his preferred helmet.

Things took a turn for the worst when Brown posted images of a letter from general manager Mike Mayock informing him that he had been fined more than $50,000 by the team for missed practices during training camp.

Rumors of a looming suspension swirled before things seemed to settle on Friday, with Gruden telling reporters that Brown was finally set to play when the Raiders begin their season on Monday night against the Denver Broncos.

For now, that's still the case, but if this ongoing saga has taught football fans anything, it's that there is always news more to come.
