REUTERS/Wolfgang RattayThousands of supporters of right-wing anti-immigration groups are protesting in Cologne on Saturday after at least 90 women reported being robbed, threatened, or sexually molested at New Year celebrations in the German city.
Most of the attackers were described by Cologne's police chief as having an Arab or North African background, triggering calls from far-right groups to keep migrants out of the country.
The German Interior Ministry said that of the 32 suspects linked to the attacks, 22 are asylum seekers, according to USA Today.
The protests are being led by PEGIDA, which stands for Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West.
