  • Anthony Bourdain called out Quentin Tarantino for "living a life of complicity and shame and compromise."
  • Tarantino recently admitted he had been aware of producer Harvey Weinstein's alleged sexual misconduct and wished he had "taken responsibility."
  • Bourdain's girlfriend Asia Argento is one of Weinstein's accusers.

During a Q&A on Saturday, celebrity chef and host of "Parts Unknown" Anthony Bourdain took aim at director Quentin Tarantino's relationship to Harvey Weinstein, according to Deadline.

Bourdain and his producing partner, Lydia Tenaglia, revealed that a media mogul (who they refused to name) offered them an incredibly lucrative deal after they left the Travel Channel, but they turned down the offer.

Bourdain remarked that moving forward with the deal, "would have eaten us alive."

"It would have destroyed everything - everything that makes us good, everything that makes us happy, our quality of life," Bourdain said. "It would have been a lethal compromise, a slow-acting poison that would have eaten away our souls until we ended up like Quentin Tarantino, living a life of complicity and shame and compromise."

Tarantino, who worked with Harvey Weinstein for years, recently told the New York Times he was aware of many of the allegations against the producer, and wished he had "taken responsibility" for what he knew.

"There was more to it than just the normal rumors, the normal gossip," Tarantino said. "It wasn't secondhand. I knew he did a couple of these things. I knew enough to do more than I did."

Bourdain's girlfriend Asia Argento also took aim at Tarantino following Bourdain's remarks. Argento tweeted, "One might think we all need to slam Tarantino's complicity with Harvey Weinstein."

Argento accused Weinstein of raping her in the bombshell New Yorker report that unearthed numerous sexual harassment and assault accusations against Harvey Weinstein.
