After the success of their first middle-age romance saga Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, the czarina of Indian television, Ekta Kapoor, is bringing another middle-age romance story to your living rooms. Starring Ronit Roy and Pallavi Kulkarni, the show is called Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar, and will be aired this November on Sony, the same GEC that profitably aired Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.
The show is about the relationship that an estranged couple continues to share because of their children. The protagonists, Nachiket Khanna and Ragini Patel, will be shown rediscovering their relationship during one of their daughter’s wedding, when they face each other after 15 years of alienation. While Ronit Roy’s character will be shown indifferent and insensitive towards his ex-wife, Pallavi Kulkarni’s character would be shown struggling between her feelings for her ex-husband and her current partner, the character most probably portrayed by Darshan Pandya. He was last seen as Vineet Raizada in another Balaji show Kya Huaa Tera Vaada.
From the first look, the show looks promising and emotional, but as is the case with most of the Indian television shows, we wonder if this show too would fall for the age-old traps of leaps, plastic surgeries, and selective amnesia.
