After Apple and Google, now Amazon is also going to set up a global delivery centre in India’s IT hub Hyderabad.
This will be Amazon’s second largest global delivery centre outside the US, which is likely to attract a large portion of its proposed investments of $2 billion in India.
Amazon will also build one of its largest Indian warehouse spread in 2,80,000 sq ft near Hyderabad.
"The land for the facility (at Hyderabad) is currently under a long-lease with the Government of Telangana," Jayesh Ranjan, Telangana's IT Secretary, told ET.
It is expected that global delivery centre’s foundation stone will be laid on March 30 and attended by senior VP David Zapolksy and vice president John Morgan.
