THEN & NOW: The cast of 'Friday Night Lights' 10 years later
Kyle Chandler played the tough but supportive Coach Taylor.
Chandler has since appeared in movies like, "Argo," "Zero Dark Thirty," and "The Wolf of Wall Street." He also currently stars in the Netflix original series "Bloodline."
Connie Britton first played the coach's wife in the 2004 movie "Friday Night Lights," and then went on to play that same role in the TV series.
After wrapping "FNL", Britton starred on TV drama "Nashville." She also appeared in the first season of "American Horror Story."
Although she acted in TV shows like "Hannah Montana," "90210," and "CSI" while filming "FNL," Aimee Teegarden's breakout role was bratty, moody teenager Julie Taylor.
Her biggest roles since then have been on TV shows "Star-Crossed" and "Notorious." She also plays the lead role in Paramount's reboot of horror movie "Rings," which comes out early next year.
Zach Gilford's portrayal of backup quarterback Matt Saracen put him on the map and remains his best-known role.
Besides appearing in a Taylor Swift music video, Gilford has had film roles in "The Last Stand" and "The Purge: Anarchy."
Minka Kelly appeared in the sitcom "What I Like About You" prior to her role as cheerleader and do-gooder Laila Garrity.
Since then, Kelly has appeared in movies like "500 Days of Summer," "The Roommate," and "The Butler." Most recently, she has appeared on Hulu's show "The Path."
A former model for brands like Abercrombie and Fitch and Diesel, Taylor Kitsch played brooding football star Tim Riggins, a role that cemented him as a heartthrob among "FNL" fans.
Many thought Kitsch may be the next big Hollywood star, but he subsequently starred in several box-office bombs including "John Carter" and "Battleship." Since then, Kitsch has ditched his long locks and recently appeared in the lukewarm season two of "True Detective."
Besides brief appearances on "Smallville" and "CSI," Adrianne Palicki's first big role was bad-girl-turned-good Tyra Collette.
Palicki went on to star in movies like "Legion," "Red Dawn," and "GI Joe: Retaliation." She also appeared in the ABC series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
Jesse Plemons had small TV roles on "Walker, Texas Ranger" and "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" before portraying nerdy but lovable Landry Clarke.
Plemons has grown up quite a bit since his "FNL" days. He's starred in "Breaking Bad" and "Fargo," and has had films roles including "Battleship," "Bridge of Spies," and "Black Mass."
Scott Porter's acting career started with an appearance on the sitcom "As the World Turns." He had other small roles before playing former star quarterback Jason Street.
Porter went on to have many TV roles in shows like "The Good Wife," "Parenthood," and "Hart of Dixie." His also appeared in Nicholas Sparks' film "Dear John."
Gaius Charles' role as the cocky football star Brian "Smash" Williams was his first big lead role.
Since then, Charles has appeared in movies like "The Messenger" and "Salt." You may have noticed him on "Grey's Anatomy." Next year, he'll appear in TV show "Taken" based off of the popular Liam Neeson movies.
Like Connie Britton, Brad Leland also appeared in the movie version of "FNL" in a role similar to the overbearing Buddy Garrity he played on the TV show.
After wrapping "FNL", Leland appeared on TV shows including "Parks and Recreation" and "Veep." He's also well known for his role in "Hancock."
Michael B. Jordan was best known for his role on TV drama "The Wire" before he was cast as East Dillon High quarterback, Vince Howard, in the final season of "FNL."
Since then, Jordan has become a big star in Hollywood. He's appeared on "Parenthood" and has starred in movies "Chronicle, "Fantastic Four," and "Creed."
