Here's what the cast of Disney's next animated movie 'Moana' looks like in real life
Disney's first Polynesian princess is Moana — the daughter of a chief being primed to lead the people of Motunui.
Moana is voiced by Auli'i Cravalho, a 15-year-old newcomer to the acting world.
In the movie, Moana teams up with a demigod named Maui.
Maui was brought to life by the vocal talents of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Moana's biggest supporter in the film is her Gramma Tala, a self-described "village crazy lady."
45-year-old Rachel House voiced Gramma Tala, aging her voice up in the process.
Gramma Tala is the mother of Moana's father, Chief Tui.
Tui is played by Temuera Morrison (die-hard Star Wars fans may recognize him as Jango Fett from "Attack of the Clones.")
Moana's mother Sina is another guiding force in her life.
Nicole Scherzinger — of "Pussycat Dolls" fame — voiced Sina.
One of Moana's pets is a low-IQ chicken named HeiHei ("hey-hey").
HeiHei doesn't have speaking lines, but all of his bawks and squawks were done by Disney voice actor veteran Alan Tudyk.
Last but not least, one of the sea monsters Moana meets is a hermit crab named Tamatoa.
Fans of "Flight of the Concords" will recognize the voice of comedian and actor Jemaine Clement. And yes, he does sing a song.
