Akshay Kumar has something to say about world’s biggest human evacuation

In the recent trailer of his upcoming movie Airlift, Akshay Kumar can be seen talking about world’s biggest human evacuation, which lasted from August to October 1990, making it a promising edge-of-the-seat thriller.The movie is based on the true story of how Air India carried out the operation of evacuating more than 1 lakh Indian expatriates from Kuwait after it got invaded by Iraq. It has been directed by Raja Krishna Menon, and stars Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur in the lead roles.
Akshay plays Ranjit Katyal, a successful businessman based in Kuwait, who identifies himself as a Kuwaiti and not an Indian. His life is brought upside down when Iraq invades Kuwait and he, along with hundreds of thousands of Indians based in Kuwait, is forced to flee the country. His only hope comes in the form of the country that he himself had forgotten.
The film has been helmed by the makers of thrillers like D-day and Baby, making it a must-watch for those who are interested in Bollywood thrillers, and Akshay Kumar, with his expertise in such roles, is yet another reason to look out for this movie.
