Whenever the Reliance Jio Infocomm's 4G services get launched, it is likely that Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India will lose some of their premium users. If reports from CLSA, Asia's leading equity brokers and investment group, are to be believed, Airtel and Vodafone users could be the early adopters of Reliance’s high-speed broadband services.

"As high-ARPU (average revenue per user) subscribers are likely to be early adopters of 4G, the two highest-ARPU operators are at a higher market share risk with new entrant Reliance Jio's launch of 4G services," read a note released from CLSA.

Since Airtel has launched its own 4G services in over 300 towns and Vodafone has limited 4G spectrum which is yet to see the light of the day in metro cities, the latter stands at more risk of losing customers.

Jio, a unit of Reliance Industries, would however be launching its offerings on a small scale in the first phase. Rumors say that it could be launched on December 28, which marks the 83rd birth anniversary of Dhirubhai Ambani, founder of Reliance Industries.
