Air India joins the club for a limitedd time. State-owned Air India Ltd has launched a limited period sale scheme, offering customers all-inclusive ticket prices starting as low as Rs.1,499 for domestic flights.
The tickets under the “super sale offer” can be booked between 21 and 25 May for travel between July and 30 September, Air India said. The July-September and January-March quarters are considered the lean season in terms of travel demand.
Last week, three low-cost airlines—SpiceJet, IndiGo and AirAsia India—had announced low airfares for their flights under similar schemes. While SpiceJet offered one-way fares starting Rs.511, IndiGo offered Rs.800. AirAsia India, which is completing two years of operations, had also cut ticket prices by half on several routes.
