Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Central Asia as a 5 country tour to extend India’s diplomatic relations with the countries. In his maiden visit to that part of the globe, Modi has yesterday flown to Kazakhstan’s capital from Uzbekistan. And the moment he landed, the tech savvy PM started tweeting in the language he has visited. And guess what?
That was enough for Modi to get trolled on the micro blogging site where Tweeterattis are awaiting an opportunity to dig in. And when the Prime Minister is tweeting in a language far from being decipherable by Indians, who leaves a chance of giving humour a miss?
Arriving in Uzbekistan, PM tweeted greetings to the people of Uzbek in their language:
Үндістанның Орталық Азиядағы сенімді досы - Қазақстанға келгеніме өте қуаныштымын pic.twitter.com/wOJrIkAfwS
— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) July 7, 2015
That was just a beginning. The next day, PM tweeted
Samimiy mehr-oqibat uchun O'zbekiston xalqiga minnatdorchilik bildiraman. My gratitude to the people of Uzbekistan for the affection.
— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) July 7, 2015
Well, that was an official goodbye before leaving the country.
Business Insider tried to get his posts translated via Bing and even it failed to translate.
And then troll began showering in.
Right from asking if the PM ‘butt typed’ the tweet, people went on guessing wildly.
Here’s a sneak peek of the reactions Modi received to his foreign language tweets:
@narendramodi are you butt typing again

. @narendramodi sir, it sounds really good. Who's the dealer ?

And then there were brutally honest people:
@narendramodi Samajh nahi aaya
