The Bank is enhancing use of micro ATMs in metros and rural areas and using its tab-cum-micro ATM to service customer requirements at their doorsteps.

To make it convenient for senior citizens, the IDFC bank is calling them up to enquire if they need to withdraw cash and based on their requirements, a IDFC Bank official visits the senior citizens’ home to enable cash withdrawals using AADHAAR biometric authentication on a microATM.

Moreover, IDFC Bank officials are visiting housing societies with the tab-cum-microATMs, enabling cash withdrawals.

In rural areas, IDFC Bank is installing a microATMs to enable transactions, especially cash withdrawals for farmers.

IDFC Bank’s AADHAAR-enabled, interoperable microATMs are enabling transactions of other bank’s customers as well in villages and unbanked areas of Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. This is saving people time and effort of travelling to their respective bank branches and ATMs located a distance away.

As these microATMs are placed at local kirana stores, chemists and panchayat offices, residents of villages do not have to travel long distances to access their respective bank’s branch or ATM in a district’s commercial area, thus saving them considerable time and effort.

The IDFC Bank microATM consists of a tab, biometric scanner and a thermal printer. It is Android and tab-based, apps are faster, and is user-friendly.

Prior to this, Canara Bank launched mobile ATMs to give respite to people standing in long queues.
