What top PR firms pay employees in the US

Insider analyzed the latest government data to provide a snapshot of how much leading public relations firms pay employ...

Public relations firms of all sizes are hiring as the economy rebounds — giving workers unprecedented leverage, according to agency execs and recruiters.

However, PR pros have little means to compare their salary with each other.

So Insider pulled salary data through 4Q 2021 from the US Department of Labor's Office of Foreign Labor Certification, which PR firms have to file paperwork with when hiring from abroad. This information only includes base salaries, though many firms also offer bonuses and equity options.

  • Edelman, the industry's largest firm, paid an EVP up to $280,000
  • Omnicom's FleishmanHillard paid a managing supervisor $96,000
  • Teneo paid senior associates up to $135,000.
