A video that seemingly shows soccer star Mohamed Salah driving while on his phone has surfaced online - and the player's own club, Liverpool FC, reported him to local police.
The video clip has been widely circulated on Twitter and Facebook. It appears to show Salah using his phone while in the driver's seat of a car, which is surrounded by young Liverpool soccer fans.

Merseyside Police confirmed the incident on Twitter. "We have been made aware of a video believed to show a footballer using a mobile phone whilst driving. This has been passed to the relevant department. Thanks for letting us know."
The police were made aware of the event after Liverpool FC reported Salah.
A spokesperson from the club told BBC: "The club, after discussion with the player, have made Merseyside Police aware of the footage and the circumstances surrounding its capture.
"We have spoken to the player also and will deal with any follow-up internally. Neither the club or player will be making any further comment on this matter."
Salah was Liverpool's best player last year and has started the new season in similar fashion as he scored one of the club's four goals in the thrilling 4-0 win over West Ham United on Sunday.
