The University of Texas at Austin chapter of Young Conservatives of Texas is under attack for a planned on-campus "Catch an Illegal Immigrant" game that it is promoting on Facebook.

According to the YCT's Facebook event, "There will be several people walking around the UT campus with the label 'illegal immigrant' on their clothing. Any UT student who catches one of these 'illegal immigrants' and brings them back to our table will receive a $25 gift card." The Facebook event was created by YCT's chairman - Lorenzo Garcia - a junior at UT majoring in government.

"The purpose of this event is to spark a campus-wide discussion about the issue of illegal immigration, and how it affects our everyday lives," the event states.

Some students have already taken to UT's campus to protest the planned "game":

This is not the first time UT YCT has faced controversy. In September, "the group hosted a bake sale to protest affirmative action where students were charged different prices for baked goods depending on their race," The Texas Tribune reports.
