A Taiwanese hairdresser is turning dogs into art
Lee Mei-chen is a creative hairstylist - for animals.
The 30-year-old Taiwanese hairdresser turned pet groomer works at a salon where she shaves intricate and unusual designs into the fur of cats and dogs.
Ou Shih-jou, who owns the salon where Lee works, said the quirky patterns were inspired by animal owners wanting a unique summer shave for their pets.
Lee's most complex creation is a teddy bear design.
She also turns animals into dinosaurs.
She decorates them with lion faces.
And even shaves Hello Kitty characters into their furry backs.
"When walking outside, people think it's amazing and magical. Everyone wants to take a photograph and see what kind of styles they came up with," pet owner Kuo Yu-lan told Reuters.
