Police in Tuscaloosa, Alabama are investigating a video showing police using a Taser and nightstick on a student who was being arrested at an apartment over the weekend, AL.com reports.

Video of the incident was also shared on The Daily Caller and The Crimson White, a student newspaper.

At least a dozen Tuscaloosa, Alabama police officers showed up to the apartment on Sunday around 3 a.m. in response to to a noise complaint.

One witness said chaos ensued, according to AL.com.

"They had a girl and two boys on the ground,'' the witness told AL.com. "They were all screaming and everybody was videoing it. "

There are a few videos of the incident shot from different angles. Both begin a little after Tuscaloosa police arrive at the apartment, making it difficult to see how and why the situation appeared to escalate.

Here's the first video, taken from a camera outside of the student's apartment.

In the second video, you see the events shot from inside the apartment. A female can be heard asking if the male student is being arrested or detained, and then screaming as he is pulled from the apartment.

The Tuscaloosa police department responded quickly to the video.
