A scientific phenomenon is making the Jersey Shore look like the Caribbean

A NASA satellite captured a stunning image of the New Jersey coastline showing how parts of the water have turned a bright, aquamarine hue that looks more like something you would see in the Caribbean and not the northern Atlantic Ocean.
It's happening because of an explosion of marine plant life known as phytoplankton.
