More than 100 passengers were reportedly onboard the aircraft.

An airport source told CNN that the plane in question was bound for Guyana.

Witnesses told the AFP that they saw a large column of smoke appear near the airport.

However, the veracity of these reports remains unclear as we have not been able to confirm whether Cubana currently operates any Boeing 737s.
