A New Year's Eve Date At Guy Fieri's Restaurant Is Ridiculously Expensive

guy fieri restaurantGuy Fieri's Times Square restaurant was eviscerated by The New York Times, but there's still a big premium to hang out there on New Year's Eve.

A table-for-two at Guy's American Kitchen and Bar will cost you a hefty $795 before gratuity, reports food blog The Braiser.

"For the price of two dinners at Per Se, you would expect your Guy Fieri New Year Date to be decadent with foods like, say, gold-dusted nachos, or diver scallops (with pearls)," writes Tina Nguyen at The Braiser.

Instead, what the VIP ticket for two gets you (and no, Guy Fieri isn't attending):

  • Standard appetizers including a cheese plate, vegetarian California egg rolls, and bourbon brown sugar wings.
  • One bottle of champagne.
  • Open bar.
  • "NYE Party Favors."
  • A DJ.

That's it. Attendees even have to pay for coat check.

The event pitch tries to sell the restaurant's American flag decor.

"The walls are proudly decked out in red, white and blue brick and a painted American flag that would make any non-American citizen envious," the description reads.

That view will be the only one at the event-the restaurant is located blocks away from the famous ball drop in Times Square.

Applebee's is also offering a New Year's Eve bash for $375 a ticket.
