A good day for Insurance stocks at the markets today

The Insurance software services provider rose 6.5 percent to 350 rupees after it bagged a contract from QBE North America to develop a strategic enterprise platform.

HCL INFOSYSTEMS LTD.: The Hardware supplier fell 2.3 percent to 58.65 rupees after it reported a consolidated net loss of 49.2 crore rupees in the first quarter compared with a loss of 45.26 crore rupees in the year ago quarter.

TALWALKARS BETTER VALUE FITNESS LTD.: Gymming chain rose 3 percent to 273 rupees after it announced a tie up with Power World Gyms, a chain based out of Colombo. Talwalkar acquired 49.5 percent stake in Power World Gyms in an all cash deal.

BLUE DART EXPRESS LTD.: The logistics company rose 1.3 percent to 7,696 rupees and hit a fresh record high after second quarter net profit surgedf 75 percent to 53.8 crore rupees and total income rose 12 percent to 651 crore rupees.

SHRIRAM TRANSPORT FINANCE:. The NBFC lender which finances mainly trucks gained 0.8 percent to 940 rupees after the Reserve Bank of India withdrew its restrictions on purchases made by foreign institutional investors in the stock.

IDEA CELLULAR LTD.: The mobile services provider fell 8.7 percent to 138.35 rupees after its first quarter net profit fell 13 percent sequentially to 809 crore rupees and total revenue dropped 1.2 percent to 8,689 crore rupees over the previous quarter.

CERA SANITARYWARE LTD.: Dropped 8.8 percent to 2,040 rupees on profit booking after reporting quarterly earnings. Cera said its second quarter net profit rose 14 percent to 17.9 crore rupees and Sales rose 13 percent to 225 crore rupees. The stock had earlier hit an intra-day high of 2,298 rupees on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

BHARTI INFRATEL LTD.: The mobile infrastructure provider fell 4.1 percent to 392 rupees on profit booking after it reported earnings. Bharti Infratel's second quarter profit jumped 25 percent to 579 crore rupees and Sales grew 4 percent to 3,037 crore rupees.
