A choir of nurses and doctors has landed the Christmas No. 1 spot after Justin Beiber tells fans to buy their single

The Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir's single "A Bridge Over You" has officially claimed the UK's Christmas Number One Spot, over Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself," after the Candian pop star threw his support behind the single.

On Thursday, Bieber tweeted:

I'm hearing this UK Christmas race is close...but the @Choir_NHS single is for charity. So...

He added:

so for 1 week it's ok not to be #1. Let's do the right thing & help them win. It's Christmas. @Choir_NHS good luck https://t.co/ORCtFY1k4i

The choir is made up of nurses, doctors, and other NHS staff. Proceeds from the NHS Choir's single will go to charities, including Carers UK and Mind.
