Anushka Sharma
The youngest Indian actress to have turned a producer, Anushka Sharma holds the title of being the director of her new production house Clean Slate Productions, which she co-owns with her brother Karnesh Sharma. The first film that she is co-producing with Phantom Films is titled NH10, in which she will be seen opposite Neil Bhopalam. The movie is directed by Navdeep Singh, who also directed Manorama Six Feet Under. The movie will be releasing in September 2014.
Ranbir Kapoor
He turned producer by co-producing Bombay Velvet with Fox Star Studios India and Phantom Films. The budget of the film is estimated to be Rs 95 crores. He has also started his own production company with Anurag Basu titled Picture Shuru Productions. The first film to be helmed under this production house is Jagga Jasoos, in which Kapoor would be seen opposite his lady love Katrina Kaif.
Dia Mirza
The gorgeous actress owns Born Free Entertainment, in partnership with her beau Sahil Sangha. They produced a movie Love Breakups Zindagi in 2011 starring Dia herself and Zayed Khan, which was directed by Sangha. The movie failed to make any impact at the box office and garnered only Rs 1.50 crore. Next in line by the production house is Bobby Jasoos, starring Vidya Balan and Ali Fazal. This movie will be directed by Samar Shaikh. This movie is expected to do good commercially as well as critically because of Vidya’s screen presence and the of late rise in the popularity of offbeat entertainment films.
Ameesha Patel
This debutante went on to become an overnight sensation with the release of her first film Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. Although the film made a whopping Rs 615 million at the time of its release, the actress failed to repeat the magic in her career. After doing some not-so-memorable roles in films for over 14 years, she has turned producer with her production house Ameesha Patel Productions, which is co-owned by her industrialist friend Kuunal Goomer. The production house, though set in 2011, will see the light of the day in 2014 only, with the maiden production Desi Magic being released this year. The movie stars Ameesha Patel in double role, opposite Zayed Khan and Sahil Shroff, and is directed by debutante Mehul Atha.

After starting his production company Forbidden Films, his first venture was Basra, which was unfortunately shelved for financial reasons. The first movie to have released under his production was One By Two, which he co-produced with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The film was heavily penned by the critics and managed to earn only Rs 2.25-2.50 crore in its first week. Now, he has set up another production house called i.e. Films, and is all set to co-produce a thriller titled 'Bounty Hunter'. He would be co-producing the film with Special Treats Productions, a UK-based production house. The movie will be directed by brothers Sunandan and Yugesh Walia.
Priyanka Chopra
The latest to join the gang, PeeCee would be co-producing her film Madamji, along with producer-director Madhur Bhandarkar. This is the story of an item girl becoming a top politician. Her production house is yet to be named. The shooting will begin in October 2014 after PeeCee completes the schedules of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s yet-to-be-named biopic on olympian Mary Kom being directed by Omung Kumar, and Excel Entertainment’s Dil Dhadakne Do to be directed by Zoya Akhtar.
