Watch a race car driver narrowly avoid a head-on collision with cows on course

There have been many closecalls between spectators and race cars in the world of rally racing, but it's not all too common to hear that the spectators in danger were actually animals. This extremely close call was almost too close. 

The video shows three-time World Rally Championship driver Sébastien Ogier driving his VW Polo R WRC car hard down a rally stage at last weekend's Rally Mexico World Rally event. 

When the unexpected happened, he reacted just about perfectly and without any hesitation.

I just hope I can react like that when a family of deer comes running in front of my car on a dark backroad.
