The popular calendar app for Mac and iPhone is now on the Apple Watch, and it has features that Apple's own Calendar app can't match.
With Fantastical for Apple Watch, you can view reminders synced to your iCloud account. That doesn't sound like a huge deal at first, but when you consider that Apple doesn't offer a stock Reminders app for the Watch, it's a pretty cool feature to have. Not only can you create events, but you can use Fantastical to remind you to pick up your dry cleaning, for example.
"The Apple Watch was designed to provide users with quick access to their info," said Michael Simmons, co-creator of Fantastical. "We designed Fantastical 2 for Apple Watch to bring the friendly experience of Fantastical to our users' wrists."
Another cool thing Fantastical does that Apple's Calendar can't do yet is let you easily get directions to your next appointment. When an event has a location attached to it, tapping the map will open up directions.
Apple
Fantastical 2 won't let you view your entire month on the Watch. Instead, it prioritizes the current day and week ahead, which makes more sense on such a small screen. No one wants to squint at their Watch while trying to navigate a zoomed out view of the month.
Support for Apple's Handoff technology means that you can have Fantastical running on the Watch and pick up where you left off on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Fantastical was thoughtfully designed: from its ability to make reminders and easily create new events right from your wrist, it's definitely the best calendar app for the Apple Watch right now.

Fantastical 2 is available in the App Store for $4.99 on the iPhone and Apple Watch.
