Sir Martin Sorrell was the best-paid CEO in the UK in 2015, receiving a total compensation package of £70.4 million ($92.6 million in today's currency, although this reflects the massive decline in the value of British sterling, which came after WPP's annual report was published).
His benefits in 2015 include a £37,000 ($48,695) car allowance, £54,000 ($71,049) in healthcare, £47,000 ($61,839) in accommodation allowance, and £62,000 ($81,598) in other expenses.
Missing on the list this year was the "spousal travel" benefit he used to receive for his wife Cristiana Falcone, an adviser to the chairman at the World Economic Forum and principal consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank. Sorrell decided before last year's annual general meeting to fund Falcone's travel personally and that he had backdated his contribution to include the previous year, This Is Money reported.
