We'll start with something easy. Snapchat's original logo is named Ghostface Chillah. The name was inspired by Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan.

Google's logo tweak is one of the hardest to spot. Here's the before:

The main Google logo isn't the only one they've updated. This is an oldie, but goodie from 2010. Can you spot what they did to Gmail?

Did you catch that the "a" changed? Facebook's June 2015 update made the a one-story, widened some letters, and swapped the F to match the favicon.
A month after joining Y Combinator in May 2015, popular question and answer site had an update: a new logo! Here's its original:

MailChimp also has a super subtle one. It hired superstar typographer Jessica Hische to refresh its the type in its logo in 2013. Here's its original:

There's actually a lot of changes. Hische lightened the weight of the letters and thinned out the strokes at the meeting points. The type was also straightened a bit, but it still feels handwritten. At small sizes, the logo is much easier to read.
Pandora took the opposite approach of many of these updates. Here's its original:

While a lot of these companies had subtle tweaks, Mozilla tweaked its last logo in 8 different, but still subtle ways. Here's the original:
