The Wait is over. Sony has brought its next-gen gaming console to India at a price of Rs 39,990. This is on the higher side, considering the console is available in the US markets at about 40% less. Nevertheless, Sony has made the first move to bring their new gaming console into India before their rivals Microsoft does with the Xbox One.

No doubt, Sony has added plenty of ammo to the PS4 and has everything, which most gamers would want. Besides getting to play the best graphical games (there might be 30 of them by the end of this year), players can share their status right from the console onto social platforms such a Facebook in a click of few buttons.

PlayStation 4 is sleeker and better looking than the previous version of the console. The design is edgy and is pretty much futuristic. The new console from Sony supports Full HD display and has a supercharged PC architecture that includes a powerful GPU and 8 GB of DDR5 memory. The game pad was the highlight of the event, which has a very modern approach. It has been kept that way to enhance the gaming experience and make it more interactive using the touch pad available on top.

However, the console is not backward compatible (at the moment). Users would need to buy new game discs to play on this console. At the moment, there are just a handful of them available in the market; the titles include Knack, Assassins Creed: Black Flag, NBA 2014, Battlefield 4 and NFS Rivals. Some of them do come with a hefty price tag (as much as Rs 3,999), so be ready to dish out the moolah.

We spent one glorious hour with the Sony PlayStation 4 – Click Here to know our thoughts.

Update: The Console will start selling by the 6th of Jan, 2014.
