It's also just 6 blocks away from Apple's 5th Avenue store.
Inside it looks a lot like the Apple Store. It's brightly lit and clean.
I went to the store first thing in the morning on a weekday, so it was pretty empty. One of the Microsoft employees was playing "Rock Band" on an Xbox.
One of the Microsoft employees told me the store has been really busy since it opened just a few days ago.

But there was a problem! They accidentally brought me a Surface Pro 4, not the Surface Book.
After another few minutes, they got my order. Here's the new Surface Book.
The Microsoft employee used his Windows Phone to scan the barcode for check out.
Then he pulled out a drawer with a credit card machine. His Windows Phone told the credit card machine what my order was. Then I swiped my credit card. After that, I was all set.

As part of my purchase, I get free customer support for up to a year. All I have to do is go back to the Microsoft store and one of the employees will walk me through any issues I have with my new Surface Book.
