Outdoor Cafe
OYO Townhouse breaks away from decades-old hotel industry templates. The moment you enter the property, you know it’s not just another run-of-the-mill hotel as you’re greeted by a veranda in the front with garden chairs.
The reception itself is relaxed and the welcome drinks are homely; we were served some Aam Ras.
Reception
The green park property is a bungalow which has three stories and has been converted into a hotel by Oyo. All Oyo Properties are either leased or owned by the company and this is the key factor to this differentiated offering. Also, unlike the one-size-fits-all approach of traditional hotel chains, every Townhouse is designed to complement its neighbourhood. This reinvention has resulted in a new kind of hotel that’s optimised for comfort, efficiency, convenience and affordability.
Townhouse operates as a “25% hotel, 25% home, 25% cafe and 25% merchandise store” –to deliver all of the guests’ needs.
Lobby
Townhouse has a contemporary design aesthetic to appeal to millennial guests through an innovative minimalistic elegance. Instead of utilizing heavy wood, rich colors and exotic custom details, the design approach is executed with a utilitarian yet aesthetic feel - clean, crisp and progressive.
The number of facilities and inventory-sets in the hotel, lobby and café have been restricted to functional utility without compromising on aesthetics.
The Hotel Room
The room itself is comfortable and is equipped with the basic furniture. Only some of the rooms feature a min-fridge but with the affordable in-room dining service, you're unlikely to miss anything. OYO is trying to make a dent into the mid-budget segment category with the rooms priced from Rs 2,500 and upwards.
The Conference Room
The cafe itself invited not just people who are staying at the hotel but anyone who wants to just stop by and work or even keep a meeting. You can book a table or a conference room at any Oyo Townhouse at reasonable costs.
Gymnasium
Another great factor is the gym which is well-equipped for anyone who’s on the go and just wants to sweat it out while staying at a hotel. All in all, the property is good value for money and is a better option than overcrowded hostels or overpriced hotels to accommodate all your work-life balance needs.
