Day One in Paris was eventful, and not just for this one obvious reason. I landed in France amongst grey skies and it started raining immediately as I scurried out of the airport.

The Charles de Gaulle airport is far from the city centre where our Airbnb was booked. The airport is around 40 mins from our Airbnb listing at Ile Saint Louis. This area is quite posh and I could see why as we strolled near the church of Notre Dame which is minutes from this listing.

Another notable feature of this area is that is it right next to the river Siene and a world famous ice cream place called the Bertillon, so we were quite thrilled to arrive in France.
The Reveal

Our Airbnb host Nicholas was gracious to say the least and made sure our welcome was appropriate. The listing does mention that it is owned by someone influential but imagine our surprise to find out it is Bryan Adams by inquiring about the Wifi name.

The Wifi, called ‘BADNET’ is the only clue to the mystery that we could have never solved ourselves and the host graciously told us that it stood for Bryan-ADams-NET, like it was nothing.

We couldn’t believe our luck as not only the house was pristine, it also brought back the memories of the anthem - ‘The Summer of ‘69’ which we sang collectively as a tribute.

Our host explained that this is Bryan's escapade which he uses once in a while to do photoshoots or just enjoy Paris.

Mr. Adams is quite low-key about the house but we decided to take you on a tour in his not-so-humble abode that added the night sparkle to Eiffel memories that we took back with us.
