Most of you would know that
Android is the largest selling operating system for smartphones and tablets, which means it has been picked up by most global mobile and slate manufacturers. This is probably the reason why
Spice Mobility has seen an opportunity here and brought an all-android store called Androidland to India. You will find this first-of-its-kind store at the GIP mall in
NCR and the place only showcases smartphones, tablets and accessories that either run on
Google’s famous Android OS or supports it.
The 900 sq. ft. store has on display various tablet and mobile brands such as Sony,
Samsung, Lenovo, Spice and
HTC – all under one roof. In addition, the shop also hosts an area where one can check out the most popular apps from the Android store. Users can also download various applications from Google Play Store and check them out here.
The second store, which is nearly three times the size of the NCR one, has been opened in Bangalore and supports the same infrastructure within. Together, these two provide a novel user experience to those who are looking to buy a smartphone or a tablet. These are the one-stop shops for buyers who want to hop on to the Android bandwagon. We think similar stores should be coming up in other Indian cities and towns soon.
