Patanjali, which has become a household name now and has shaken up India’s top notch FMCG companies, has become the fastest growing company as its net sales for 2015-16 stood at Rs 5,000 crore.
With Patanjali’s growth, CEO Balakrishna became the 25th richest man in India, as per a report by Hurun India Rich List 2016.
But, Balakrishna, who owns 94% stake in Patanjali claims that he does not take any salary.
With his rise and rise with Ramdev and Patanjali, he became the centre to a string of controversies, especially about his degrees and passport.
He went into hiding after his Indian citizenship and degrees were questioned and even cases of money laundering were registered against him.
