Both phones are said to be built by HTC, but they won't feature any HTC branding. This is meant to be a pure Google phone, and it's a hint that Google intends to build its own hardware moving forward.
Of course, the Pixel will run the latest version of Android, called Nougat, and won't have any extra annoying software Android phone makers usually add to their devices. Google will likely sell the Pixel unlocked, too.

Google announced its new Android virtual reality platform called Daydream earlier this year, and it looks like the first Daydream headset will be built by Google itself. According to Android Police, Google will call the device "Daydream View."
Daydream is an open-source design for VR headsets that lets you slot in an Android phone and enjoy VR content. It also comes with a wireless remote for controlling games and navigating menus.
However, it's still early days for Google's VR ambitions. Daydream will only work on certain high-end Android phones (you can bet the new Pixels will be included), and there likely won't be a ton of content to consume at first.

The Android Police report makes Google WiFi sound very similar to Eero, the tiny router system that lets you create a mesh network around your home. That means Google WiFi, like Eero, will let you place tiny routers throughout your home so your connection remains strong no matter where you are.

Finally, Google may announce a new 7-inch Android tablet, according to Evan Blass, a gadget leaker with a near-perfect track record.
Blass says the tablet will be built by Huawei and launch before the end of the year.
